We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Administrator to manage and maintain our company’s IT infrastructure.
The IT Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, network devices, storage systems, and firewalls.
This role requires a strong understanding of networking principles, server administration, and security best practices. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a commitment to ensuring the stability and security of our IT environment.
Job Requirements
Server Management:
Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows Server, Linux).
Monitor server performance and troubleshooting issues.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Apply security patches and updates to servers.
Network Management:
Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Manage and maintain the company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure.
Implement and maintain network security measures.
Manage VPN connections and remote access solutions.
Storage Management:
Install, configure, and maintain storage devices (SAN, NAS).
Monitor storage capacity and performance.
Implement and maintain data storage and backup policies.
Manage storage replication and disaster recovery.
Firewall Management:
Configure and maintain firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
Monitor firewall logs and security events.
Implement and maintain firewall rules and policies.
Respond to security incidents and breaches.
Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Internet Management:
Manage and maintain the company’s internet connection.
Monitor internet performance and troubleshoot issues.
Coordinate with internet service providers (ISPs) for service and support.
Implement and maintain web filtering and content filtering solutions.
Security:
Implement and maintain security best practices throughout the IT infrastructure.
Monitor systems for security threats and vulnerabilities.
Respond to security incidents and breaches.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security threats and trends.
Documentation and Support:
Create and maintain documentation of IT infrastructure and procedures.
Provide technical support to end-users.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Manage IT inventory and asset tracking.
Educational Qualifications & Skills
Must have skills:
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
Experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
Experience with storage systems (SAN, NAS).
Experience with firewall configuration and management.
Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Security Knowledge:
Strong understanding of security best practices and principles.
Knowledge of common security threats and vulnerabilities.
Behavioral Skills:
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Education Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure management.
Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
